The Arvorum mobile and desktop applications complement each other. Each focuses on different features, and both combined lead to maximizing your harvest, minimizing the use of products and keeping your team informed! In this article, we compare the functionalities of both versions, so you can make the most out of them!
Why should I use the Arvorum APP?
The Arvorum APP allows you to keep in touch with your team while you are on your fields, even without an internet connection. You can add scouting notes with photos you take, use the exact location to create georeferenced tasks and comment on already existing ones. Keep doing your job wherever you are - once your mobile device catches the reception, all the data you added offline will be uploaded, and your teammates will see the changes you applied.
Example: You are on your field with no internet connection. You found an infected area that needs to be sprayed. Before downloading Arvorum APP, you used to take notes on paper and delegate tasks when you were back at the office. Now, with the Arvorum APP, you create a georeferenced note or task, assign it to the right person, and define the deadline based on the weather forecast. You attach photos so your team has more information. On your way back home, your phone catches reception again. The app synchronizes automatically. It means that all information you added offline is sent to the system. No need to upload data once again! |
Why should I use the Arvorum DESKTOP?
The desktop version of Arvorum is the best tool for precision farming. It is easy to use and allows you to create variable rate application maps for seeding, fertilizing and crop protection in a few simple steps. You can adjust maps to the width of the machinery you use, set the number of zones and base the maps on biomass vitality information.
Besides, it has scouting, tasks and comments features and is synchronized with the mobile application.
With the desktop version of Arvorum, you can precisely manage your farm on many levels - from communicating with your team to tracking the cost of the products you use.
Example: You plan to seed a new crop on one of your fields. In Arvorum DESKTOP, you analyze the field's vitality. Finally, you choose 5 biomass maps as a basis for the variable rate application map. Additionally, you upload a soil map to increase the precision. You choose the crop type from the list, define the variety and select the machinery you are going to use. Next, you set up parameters such as target population and germinability, and you see the map preview in the same window. You export the file and create a task for the machine operator. The machine operator receives a push notification on their mobile device. They have all details to start the operation. Once the seeding is finalized, the machine operator changes the task status to "done". |
